The house was ablaze and little Tommy's screams could be heard from within. The neighbors did not know what to do until a stranger broke through the crowd and scampered up the hot pipe to the second story window. After what seemed an interminable time, he appeared with the boy clinging to his neck. He climbed back down the now even hotter pipe to the cheers of the people. Since Tommy was the only family member to survive the fire, a home was needed for him. After months in Children's Services, a hearing was held to find a suitable home.
