How often the so-called wisdom of men is overcome by the power of God. The life of Napoleon Bonaparte offers a good example. Napoleon had risen to international fame and power as a mighty conqueror. His powerful armies had been able to win victories over many powerful foes. He practically ruled the world. But one nation had yet to be overcome in order to satisfy his vanity. That was Russia. In his human wisdom Napoleon believed he could easily bring this rival nation to its knees. So he carefully planned what he believed to be a wise campaign.
