I attended a lecture presented by an archeologist. In his lecture he dated events according to modern nomenclature of Common Era and Before Common Era (instead of Before Christ and Annon Domin). I can understand the scholar's need to remove Christ from the dating system, but for those of us who call ourselves Christian, Christ is and must always remain the center of our faith and life. While it so happens most of us date history according to B.C. and A.D., what is really important is that Christ remain at the center of our lives.
