I never read this text without being reminded of the years in which each of my four children reached "the terrible twos"! I never read this text without being reminded that God has a sense of humor, and uses "the least of these" --windows and little children, for example --to prove this to us.
Think about it. Here is a two-year-old with what, for her, is a perfectly straightforward and legitimate question: "Why?" Finally, and since "because" is not really a sufficient answer, you attempt to do justice to the child's question.
