I was on my annual two-week Naval Reserve tour of duty in Norfolk, Virginia. Toward the end of the first week, a hurricane was threatening so we had to decide what to do with the many ships in port. I thought of those powerful ships and of the men and women responsible for them. These “treasures” were in the hands of earthen vessels — human beings.
