I was visiting in the home of church members when a salesman arrived. He was well-known in the community -- a short, stooped man with a speech impediment. Learning that I was a pastor, he talked to us about his religious faith and bragged about the money he gave to his church, adding that the gospel makes a great difference in people's lives. Then the conversation shifted to a new mobile home park being developed nearby. The salesman said that he had organized his neighbors to take steps to stop the project.
