It was Canon Robert Bohaker whom I first heard use the expression, "(Your problems) can be your stumbling block or your stepping stone." Canon Bohaker worked with hundreds of people in the Detroit area. They would come to St. Paul's Cathedral week after week on Wednesday evenings where Canon Bohaker would conduct prayer sessions and Bible studies, gathering the sick, the lonely, the bruised. Always kind and gentle with the people, he would listen to them in those meetings, he would listen to them over the telephone.
