It was Inauguration Day, 1993. The months of campaigning and the hard work surrounding the election process had been completed and it was time to swear in the newly-elected President of the United States. Regardless of whether "their" chosen candidate won or lost, there is something solemn and sacred about such moments in the national public eye, and people around the country stopped whatever they were doing to watch the televised coverage of the events in Washington, D.C.
