It's easy in the life of faith to get caught up in the great time-wasters. A fine young woman dragged home from her first meeting as a member of the governing board of her local congregation. "How was it?" asked her husband. "Dreadful," she groaned. "All we talked about was doorknobs." "Doorknobs?" "Yes, doorknobs! Somebody said that the doorknobs on two of the Sunday school classrooms were coming loose, and then somebody else said we never should have bought such cheap ones anyway. Somebody had visited a church in Piedmont where they've got better doorknobs than we do.
