Jay was a respected, young thirty-year-old seminarian when it happened. The incident was nasty, but necessary -- a woman's dentures depended on it. Jay was a polished, polite Wheaton College graduate. He came from a nationally-known church in California to attend school and work with inner-city seniors. He did a good job. People admired him. He was dignified ... he was a gentleman. The denture disaster proved he was also a servant. It happened on an outing to the mountains one fall afternoon. Jay was the tour guide, and forty senior citizen saints were his traveling companions.
