Jerry had always enjoyed writing, but the request he had just received presented an unusual challenge. It was only midsummer, but the worship division was already planning a special service around the theme of light for Epiphany, which would fall on the first Sunday in January. They planned to use material written by persons from the congregation. So, that was Jerry's newest assignment, to write something about light. Since Jerry had been blind from birth, he knew his conception of light was probably vastly different from that of a sighted person.
