Judith did not like the limelight. She worked hard, put herself fully into every project or
recreation she did, but she never went out of her way to be noticed. But she did get
noticed. When teachers needed a reliable student to help them, Judith was always
requested. When the town needed someone to organize the youth dances at the youth
center, Judith was approached. Judith was asked to be the pianist for the school choir, to
organize the student food drive, and was class valedictorian.
Whenever Judith was approached, the first comment out of her mouth was, "I am the last person you want for...." That was 25 years ago. At her high school reunion, Judith was heard saying, "I am probably the last person my kids would want for a mother," yet her children are well-adjusted, successful young adults.
Judith is a Paul, who considered himself the least of the apostles, yet is probably one of the most remembered New Testament figures.
