Just as there is a big difference between Mount Sinai with its laws and Calvary with its love, there is a difference in the images by which we shape our lives. They can be patterned along lines of selfishness or along paths of love. A great deal depends on the model we follow. For young people today, where can they find examples worth imitating? Should they emulate Napoleon, Lincoln, some sports star, a favorite idol, or a rock-and-roll singer? All these are imperfect models, and the life that follows them will be imperfect, also.
