Matthew, the tax collector, is a man who totally changed his life because of Christ. Too often, we forget that Christ has life-changing power. "Kairos" is a worldwide prison ministry that has had outstanding results. The recidivism rate in prison runs anywhere from 65 to 85 percent (depending on whose statistics you read). Prisoners who have been through the Kairos program have a recidivism rate of less than two percent. Clearly, this is a program that works. Mary X was a woman who had been touched by Kairos while incarcerated, and then after her release, became a team member.
