A missionary was shipwrecked on a desert island, and spent many miserable days waiting for rescue. There was fresh fruit and fish and game were plentiful, so he wasn't hungry, but the loneliness was driving him to distraction. One day he decided to explore deeper into the interior of the island, and fought his way all day through heavy underbrush. Suddenly, way ahead he could see smoke, and he knew there was a campfire. At first he was excited. "Finally, people to talk to," he thought. But then, he began to worry; perhaps they were headhunters or cannibals.
