"If you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk." We want our role models to practice what they preach. We want them to stand for what they appear to stand for. When photographs of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps smoking marijuana were brought forward, Phelps was dropped by many of his sponsors; the public in general seemed outraged. When golf superstar Tiger Woods' infidelity came to light, the controversial news topped headlines for weeks. We expect our leaders to display the things they uphold; in sports, we expect honesty, sportsmanship, and clean living.
