A recent college graduate, Jim showed how one of his professors had been instrumental in helping Jim through a period of depression and uncertainty. In his sophomore year, Jim made a routine appointment with one of the professors who served as an advisor to students in his department. Jim had chosen to major in the department, but was feeling frustrated by some of the program's requirements.
