Reconciliation between people can be achieved in a variety of ways. The Army has issued a booklet which gives all kinds of advice to its personnel. An interesting section tells how to reconcile two men who have quarreled. Simply put them to work washing the same window, one on the outside and one on the inside. When they see each other through the glass, they will soon be laughing and all will be forgotten. At least that's what the manual says.
