Remember Fiddler on the Roof...
Illustration
Remember Fiddler on the Roof? In one scene, Tevye asks his wife, "Do you love me?" She turns toward him, gives him a "What do you think?" look, and he repeats his question. "I'm asking you a question," he tells her.
She sings: "Do I love him? For 25 years I've washed your clothes, cooked your meals, cleaned your house, given you children, milked the cow. After 25 years, why talk about love now? Do I love him? For 25 years, I've lived with him, fought with him, starved with him. 25 years my bed is his. If that's not love, what is?"
