Ron is 48 years old and recently had a malignant brain tumor removed after suffering from a headache that would not go away. The future prognosis is not good. Even with radiation and chemotherapy, there is a strong likelihood that the tumor will return and end his life. "A year and a half to two years" was what the doctors told him when he asked how long he had to live.
