Several years ago, a plane crashed on the runway at Philadelphia and caught fire. At the door, the 24-year-old stewardess, Mary Frances Housley, began to help the passengers to escape. Just as she was ready to jump, a woman on the ground screamed, "My baby! My baby!" Mary Housley quickly attempted to find the woman's baby. No one saw her alive again. When the debris cooled, they found Mary's body over the four-month-old baby she had tried to rescue. When Time Magazine ran the story, the caption under her picture read, "She could have jumped." -- Keller
