"Socratic Method." That's what the teachers called it. Socratic Method meant to learn something by asking questions -- not just the questions the student asked the teacher, but the teacher's questions guided the student to his/her own answers.
Note the dialogue in our Gospel lesson: "Teacher, what shall I do ... How do you read (the Law) ... Who is my neighbor?" Then, a multiple-choice question: "which of these three...?" When the lawyer answered that one, he had the "Big" answer he sought in the first place.
