Someone had said that faith...

Someone had said that "faith is not jumping to conclusions; it is the conclusion to jump." Pascal calls it "the leap." A person with the initials R.I.L. (I have no idea who) suggests that "faith enters the twilight of God's mysterious unknown and puts us in touch with that which we cannot fully describe." R.I.L. then tells of a time as a boy when he was hunting sparrows' eggs on a barn roof. The ladder slipped and fell. He was left suspended in midair clinging to a gutter. Because he already had broken his ankle twice, he felt embarrassed about doing so again.
