In spite of human ineptitude...

In spite of human ineptitude, we pray. We pray in the manner that we are able. Our prayers find many forms.
I share with you these pieces of dialogue, a prayed conversation with a friend named Jud:
Jud: When writing, think of a poem as a prayer object. Indeed, though I don't pray, I think of poetry as praying. I think that one shouldn't play around with it, even when being funny.... At root [a poem] is a serious matter on which one's soul depends.
Dee: He says he does not pray.
If praying needs pious words,
If heart and craft pouring into a poem,
