A story in the newspaper...

A story in the newspaper in March of 1998 told of a Northern Indiana resident who lived on the shore of Lake Michigan. One March day a storm was coming up so this man decided to build a fire and watch the storm and enjoy some soup. Before long the sea wall outside the house collapsed, and the lake was in his backyard. Before the pounding waves and the fifty miles-per-hour wind stopped, the house was lost. The owner fled with only his pets and the clothes he was wearing. The fury of nature can separate us from our belongings or our house and can leave us with little.
