These passages deal with the inwardness of genuine religion as opposed to religious activity which may be devoid of vital faith. Most of us are very reluctant to let anyone see our wounds and hurts. We present an image of invincibility, but there are times when by sharing a wound we become vulnerable and thus the possibility of new growth is present.
