Two staunch churchgoers were vehemently arguing over the definition of the tithe. "Gross," shouted one. "Net," shouted the other. This debate went on for ten heated minutes until the pastor came into the room to settle the dispute. "What's the problem here?" asked the pastor. "John here says that Christians should tithe their net income while I say we tithe our gross. Which is correct, pastor, gross or net?" "Well," said the pastor, scratching his head. "It's gross if you pay the tithe before you get home and net if you pay the tithe after you get home."
