A very important part of a NASCAR race is the pit stop. During the course of the race at least three or four stops will be made. The cars are very similar in design and engine components, so many times the difference of several places can be attributed to the pit stops. If the crew works together fast and efficiently, the few seconds they gain over a slower crew can make a big difference. One thing is for sure, a person cannot go the distance and win the race without making those stops for fuel and tires.
