A war correspondent, searching for a good human-interest story amidst all the wreckage of the battlefield, approached a cold Marine. He stood by one of the trucks in the bitter-cold, forty-two-below-zero morning, dirty and eating from a tin can with his knife. The correspondent asked, "If God would grant you anything you wished, what would it be?" Through a heavy beard crusted with mud came the reply, "Give me tomorrow."
