We all seem to remember Watergate, don't we? Most of us think right away of national disgrace, robbery, cover-up, and the expulsion from office of the President, Richard M. Nixon. But what really took place at Water Gate?

It was the first day of July. A gathering, like the fourth of July, was swelling with the expectation of the day. A man was in the center of the crowd. He was being listened to attentively from early morning until midday. Even the governor was there. What a magnificent event!
