What did Jesus' breath feel like; did it smell sweet and pleasant to the disciples' nostrils? Had he been eating onions in the garden? We may never know, but one thing is sure, we can inhale the same new breath of life that he breathed on them, saying, "Welcome the Holy Spirit, wind, or breath of God."
I have often told the children, at their special time in worship, to hold up their hands and blow on them. Then I remind them that they are actually feeling the breath of God's spirit that lives inside of them.
