What is particularly troubling right now is the status of the nuclear weapons in the former Soviet Union. With the chaotic situation in the governments and the military of those newly created republics it is strongly suspected that the organized crime syndicates in Russia have attempted to steal some of the nuclear weapons, and perhaps have already succeeded in doing so.
Our own FBI set up a station in Moscow to help the Russians with that very problem -- because it is not just their problem. It is the world's problem.
