When my wife and I reminisce with our grown children, they often tell us about the things they "got away with" when they were still at home. There were a few skipped days from school and other activities that, indeed, they got away with and about which both my wife and I were clueless. They also told us that for many years, they knew our hiding place for Christmas gifts and that they often knew what they were getting long before Christmas morning.
