When we hear the story of Saul's conversion, we know a turning around so dramatic that Saul became known as Paul. However dramatically or quietly, when we become aware that God chooses us, we know a complete change, a transformation, a conversion to love.

There is another story, one about a velveteen rabbit. Its several chapters, condensed, go something like this. There was a velveteen rabbit --quite bedraggled and maybe even thrown out. The velveteen rabbit was rescued and loved by a small child.
