William Tyndale's goal in life...
Illustration
William Tyndale's goal in life was to translate the Scriptures into English so that the common person might read and understand them. At age 29 he left for Germany in order to carry on his work.
King Henry VIII and Cardinal Wolsey were determined to stop his translation and put him to death. In Brussels, on October 6, 1536, he was strangled at the stake and burned.
