Let us come into God's presence with thanksgiving and sing psalms of the triumph of the Anointed One.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
GOD OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, WE CONFESS THAT WE OFTEN FORGET YOUR CONCERN FOR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING BECAUSE WE ARE SO ATTENTIVE TO OURSELVES, OUR OWN FAMILIES, OUR OWN CONGREGATION, OUR OWN DENOMINATION, OUR OWN COUNTRY. FORGIVE SUCH NARROWNESS THAT IGNORES THE MAGNITUDE OF YOUR RECONCILING WORK IN JESUS CHRIST, KING OF ISRAEL, PRINCE OF THE UNIVERSE. AMEN

Hear the Good News! God has chosen to reconcile the whole world by making peace through the blood shed by Jesus Christ on the cross. Friends, believe the Good News! IN JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE FORGIVEN.

ROYAL ONE, WE ARE DRAWN TO YOU NOT BY POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE, BUT BY GOOD NEWS, NEWS OF RESURRECTION AND NEW LIFE, NOT ONLY FOR LAZARUS BUT FOR ALL OF US WE JOIN IN THE HOSANNAS TO YOU FOR YOU HAVE COME IN HUMILITY AND GRACE. AMEN
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
GREAT DAVID'S SON, WE PRAISE YOUR NAME THAT YOU DO NOT RULE US TYRANNICALLY. BUT WITH THE GENTLE CARING OF A SHEPHERD. YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED OVER US FROM AFAR, BUT FROM THE VANTAGE POINT OF OUR HUMANITY, ACCEPTING MORTALITY THOUGH YOUR BASIC NATURE IS UNENDING LIFE. THOUGH WE CAN NOT UNDER STAND THE WONDER OF YOUR BEING, YET WE CAN PRAISE YOU AND GIVE THANKS FOR THE PROMISED VICTORY OF YOUR RULE OVER SIN AND DEATH. KING OF THE JEWS, PRINCE OF HEAVEN, SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS, WE WORSHIP YOU. AMEN

LET US SHOUT FOR JOY TO THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION.

AND RAISE A LOUD SHOUT TO HIM WITH PSALMS.
For the Lord is a great God,
AND A GREAT KING ABOVE ALL GODS.
In his hand are the caverns of the earth,
AND THE HEIGHTS OF THE HILLS ARE HIS ALSO.
The sea is his, for he made it,
AND HIS HANDS HAVE MOLDED THE DRY LAND.
Come, let us bow down, and bend the knee,
AND KNEEL BEFORE THE LORD OUR MAKER.
For he is our God,
AND WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF HIS PASTURE

Oh, that today you would hearken to his voice!
HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS,
As your forebears did in the wilderness at Meribah,
AND ON THAT DAY AT MASSAH, WHEN THEY TEMPTED ME.
They put me to the test,
THOUGH THEY HAD SEEN MY WORKS.
Forty years long I detested that generation and said,
"This people are wayward in their hearts;
THEY DO NOT KNOW MY WAYS."
SO I SWORE IN MY WRATH, "THEY SHALL NOT ENTER INTO MY REST."
