A Call To Worship
Worship Aids, Lectionary Year B
Advent Wreath
What sign will you give us, Lord? The sign is not the angels. The sign is not the star. The sign is not the manger. They point to the sign. But the sign is the baby, a flesh and blood baby, someone who takes a lot of time and energy. That's our hope. We light this central candle for the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, a baby, the baby. Jesus. Christ.
Call To Worship (based on Isaiah 9 and Luke 2)
One: The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness -- on them light has shined.
