Verse: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
A grandfather was strolling with his granddaughter in the park. They were talking as they leisurely walked. The beautiful autumn colors had begun to blanket the leaves of the trees with their bright oranges, brilliant reds, and gorgeous yellows.
The grandfather began to talk about the changing seasons. Then there came an exchange of short questions and answers.
Grandfather said, "What happens in the fall?"
Granddaughter quickly said, "We start back to school."
Grandfather: "What happens in the winter?"
Granddaughter used a quick and short answer, "Snow."
Grandfather: "What happens in the spring?"
After a moment the granddaughter responded with, "April showers bring May flowers."
Following a slight chuckle, Grandfather asked, "And, what happens in the summer?"
With bright eyes, the granddaughter raised her voice slightly and said, "We go swimming, have picnics, and play ball."
There is a time, a divinely appointed time, for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven. Our lives are governed by God's perfect and faithful timing.
