Object:
A boy named Ernest, who grew up within sight of this famous mountain near Franconia Notch, New Hampshire, had heard the community legend that some day a man would come to the town who would look like that great stone face.
Ernest set his goal in life to find that man.
Years passed and though he sought far and wide, in his old age Ernest despaired that the legend would come true. When he expressed his thoughts to friends about it, they informed Ernest that he was that very man! He actually looked like the great stone face.
The moral of the story:
The thing we seek for in life is what we become.
(Read Nathaniel Hawthorne's classic story of "The Great Stone Face.")
