Now, That's A Miracle!
Reflections On Faith And Life
"The Lord helps those who help themselves."
That sounds all right to me.
But if I search the Bible text,
that line I do not see.
And if I think about it more,
those words don't say it all.
For God helps those who trust God but
can't help themselves at all!

There is no faith which knows not faith in God.
'Tis folly that we trust in worldly things.
For as the weary paths of life we plod,
whence else can come the comfort Jesus brings?
