While the traditional day for the beginning of a presidential campaign is Labor Day, there usually is so much political activity for the previous months, that all traditional dates have lost their meaning. During the ensuing campaign, the candidates set forth some of the programs in which they say they believe, and presumably will try to enact if elected.
