A Mrs. Lah, a missionary in a desert area of inner China years ago, reported a miracle as a result of prayer. Their doctor told a patient and friend that they needed ice to scatter an infection and lower the patient's temperature. Where in a desert would they get ice?
They prayed like Elijah (1 Kings 18:41-46), facing a hot August sun. The missionaries, the doctor, and the patient's wife, as well as the patient knew it would take a miracle.
Then the sky clouded up and rain fell on the parched land. The miracle happened as ice came in the form of hail, in copious quantity. The people gathered enough hail to meet the need. The infection was scattered, and the sick person was on the way to full recovery.
We have a God of miracles!
