Call To Worship
One: Who is like God?
All: No one is like God.
One: Who knows God fully?
All: No one knows God fully.
One: And yet who knows God?
All: God's people know God, because God has revealed God. God as Father, God as Son, God as Spirit, and God as so much more. God wants to be known. We come this morning, seeking to praise God, love God, and know God.
Unison Prayer
Lord, we know you as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through the witness of the New Testament. We know you as one who shepherds us like lost sheep, as one who mothers us as a mother hen looks after her chicks, one who looks for us without pause, like a missing coin. We know you as engineer of the universe, the author of our stories, the farmer upon our landscape. If we cannot exhaust the depth and breadth of your person, fill us instead this morning in our worship with awe at your majesty, joy in your presence, and peace in your promises. Amen.
Morning Prayer
Like the rush of a mighty wind you are upon us. Fill our souls with the zeal of the early disciples. We pray for the Pentecost Spirit to fill us, renew us. We know we do not truly know what we pray for, or we would shrink back in holy terror at your perfect goodness, but we dare to ask. Fulfill our dream. Make us your people. Revive us again. Amen.
Morning Hymn
"Move In Our Midst" by Ken Morse
Offering Prayer
Let our generosity know no bounds, Lord. In accepting our gifts, challenge us further, beyond our imaginings. Give us a glimpse of the potential of Spirit-filled humanity, and cause us to rise to the challenge. Amen.
Children's Benediction
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!
