A Call To Worship
Worship Aids, Lectionary Year B
Call To Worship (based on Isaiah 43:18-19)
Left: Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Right: Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
All: I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Unison Invocation
Lord, we pray for your wisdom, we pray for your mercy. We pray that today you will be with us in our worship. You are creating a path where once we saw no possibilities. Bless us, mold us, remake us, use us in your service. Sanctify us as your people this day. Amen.
Morning Prayer (based on Psalm 41)
O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you. Be gracious to me, and raise me up. You have upheld me because of my integrity. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
Offering Prayer (Psalm 41:1-2)
Happy are those who consider the poor; the LORD delivers them in the day of trouble.
The LORD protects them and keeps them alive; they are called happy in the land. You do not give them up to the will of their enemies.
Children's Benediction
Every one of God's promises is a "Yes."
