Call To Worship
God has a mighty hand with which to guide us. God cares not about the particulars of who we are -- where we live, the work we do, infirmities, age -- but only that we are found. God leads all people with a sure hand.
Collect
To you, O God, who claims and reclaims us with a hand stronger than any other, we sing aloud with gladness. To you, who steadies us whenever we falter and who brings our hearts to thanksgiving, we praise your holy name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Sometimes, God, we feel as if we were a remnant, torn and waving in the wind. Sometimes we feel as if we were broken pieces scattered over a tiled floor. Sometimes we feel like an overturned, uprooted houseplant. Gather us in. Breathe your life into us again. Renew our sense of wholeness through your saving grace. Amen.

Call To Worship
The words God has for us are no accident. They are words of life. We come to know these life-giving words through Jesus Christ. We receive new life because of Christ. Come, let us ready ourselves to take on the new life God planned for us in Christ.
Collect
You show us, O God, that we are not unacceptable but adoptable. We are not rejected but chosen. We are not condemned but forgiven. We praise you for this wealth of spiritual blessing. Through Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
When negative, fatalistic attitudes threaten to undo us with unwanted bondage, help us, O God, to remember how freeing is the present, positive connection we have with you. Through Christ. Amen.

Call To Worship
Leader: If you wonder who God is, you are not the only one. If you try to define God but do not know anything for certain, you are not alone. If you wish that once and for all you could dispense with questioning and leap into faith, you join all in the moment before belief.
People: Jesus is the one who brings the mystery of God to us. Jesus is he who bridges the stretch between the unknown and the known. Jesus is God's way of bringing our creator near.
All: Come, let us worship God who is in our world.
Collect
You brought us into being, Holy Creator. You have given those who believe the power to become your children. You have enabled your word to come alive through the being of Jesus the Christ. We praise your name, O God. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
We fail to recognize you, O Holy One, until we understand that all has come into being through you. We fail to understand until we sense that the compassionate Jesus knows through and through what is happening in our lives because of his being human. Teach us through the one who lived among us to trust and to believe. Amen.
07C Hymns
"Be [Now][Thou] My Vision" Tune: SLANE
"Dear Jesus, In Whose Life I See" Tune: HURSLEY
"This Little Light Of Mine" Tune: LATTIMER
