Series V, Cycle A
First Lesson: Isaiah 35:1-10
Theme: Set Aside Sighing
Call To Worship
Leader: Be strong, walk the walk of God's way.
People: For here is our God.

People: Here comes strength for our souls.
Leader: Let go of your sigh, give words to your song.
All: For here is our God, here comes strength for our souls.
Collect
We come, O God, to catch a note of the angel's song. We come to hear about peace on earth. We come to mete out goodwill to all. We gather here to sing the great news of joy. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Accepting God, we come filled with sorrows we share with no one else. Help us give words to our sighing. Listen to our fears. Hear our disappointments. Attend to the lameness within our souls. Understand the silence we muffle with words. Accept what is bleak about us so we might know strength. Amen.
