We lived for four years in Delphos, Ohio, which is a predominately Roman Catholic town. The joke these residents liked to tell the most on themselves, more than any other one, was this one:
A man died and went to Heaven. He was given a tour of the place by Saint Peter who said, "We will visit Church Street first."
As they walked, Saint Peter pointed out some of the church buildings.
"That's the United Methodist Church and here now is the Baptist Church; then on down the way, the Lutherans." They passed other churches and Saint Peter would call them by name.
"Now be quiet as we pass this building," he said.
After passing it, the visitor asked, "Why were we supposed to be quiet?"
Saint Peter answered, "They are the Roman Catholics, and they don't think there is anyone else in Heaven but them!"
