How many of you play softball or baseball? (Let them
answer.) Do you ever choose sides? (Let them answer.) What
happens when sides are chosen? (Let them answer.) The team
captain tries to choose the best players. The more good players
you have on your team, the better are your chances of winning
games. Of course those who are not such good players often feel
left out.
