Christmas angels among us
Children's Activity
Object:
Teachers or Parents: Talk about a recent or upcoming Christmas
pageant. Or act one out among yourselves today by simply reading
the Christmas story in Luke 2. Ask, "Which part is the most
important part?" Explain that every part is important and part of
the whole. Every part is played by a messenger. Help the children
see that they, too, can be messengers ("angels") to others in the
Christmas pageant.
*Make an angel Christmas tree ornament. This can be as simple as a photocopied line drawing that the children can cut out and color or you can do some fancy crafts in making an angel.
*Learn and sing "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing."
*Learn and sing "Angels We Have Heard On High."
*Learn and sing "Angels, From The Realms Of Glory."
*Light the Christ candle in the middle of the Advent wreath.
