Feel the wind blow
Children's Activity
Object:
Materials
Wallpaper
Lace scraps
Satin or lace ribbon, 1 inch wide or wider
Satin roses
Narrow ribbon, for trim
Stiff craft glue or glue gun
Clothespins, as needed
Instructions
Cut a 10 x 13 piece of wallpaper for each child. Cut a 13-inch piece of satin or lace ribbon, and glue it to the top of the piece of wallpaper, allowing the top half of the ribbon to hang over the top of the paper. After the glue has dried, fold the paper accordion style. At the bottom, pinch the ends together and fold up about 1/2 inch to 1 inch. To make the folded end a stiff "handle," place glue between the main fold and between the accordion folds. Hold tightly or use a clothespin to keep in place until glue dries. Decorate the front of the fan with the ribbons and roses or scraps of lace as desired.
Children can use the fan to remind them of the special gift of the Holy Spirit that God has given us.
